Dear Cruisers,

Sounds like the parents had quite the trip! How exciting!

We have been trying to keep Trisha and David (David is Barbie's brother) on track for baptism but it's proved difficult. It seems we ought to impress the importance of everything on them more.
We found investigators in the most fascinating ways this week! Walking hope a girl drives her car up to us and asks what we're doing. We tell her we teach people about Jesus and she gapes and says, "For real?" We confirmed this and she pointed out her home and told us to come visit. Her grandmother is not fond of us though so we will have to try and meet with her somewhere else if at all possible.
Easter Dinner

Yet another instance of walking we were approached by a couple also strolling and struck up a conversation.

I will having an exchange with Elder Wright this week, that should be fun. It is Elder Sleet's Birthday today, Elder Bunderson had his recently as well. By the way, did you also see the videos on the SD card in addition to the pictures?

We ate at the Locketts on Easter and after visited the Bishop and some of his family. They do this thing called 'moose'. It's delicious. This one was raspberry, but earlier they had chocolate moose that was fantastic.

I've been told that my letters seem to be shrinking week by week. I cannot deny this, yet I have a very difficult time trying to figure out how to solve this issue! I have spent a great deal of time trying to think of what else to put down and typically come up with nothing more than what I've already included in vivid, sweeping detail. Could always add more ostentatious verbatim, but that has no real substance! A
Some major car problems
perplexing puzzle to be sure.

Ah well! I will strive to do better. Thank you Grandma for your letter and I hope everyone continues to enjoy life! Remember, the gospel is Good News! Be happy.

Dear Nostalgic People,

This week I got a card from Grandma again. Yet another set of psychedelic frogs on the cover. I also got the Easter Package, thank you very much! We should start considering some changes in tradition though. Perhaps Easter sausage and cheese instead of candied eggs and peeps. Wouldn't that just be incredibly more festive?

Taylor is out and I look forward him having a great missionary experience! Funny all the knowledge your experiences have gained you Mother! Good job helping Aunt Jennifer out.

I'm likely to be staying where I am as it is more likely they will move Elder Matangi out.
We got a good number of new investigators, but I don't know them yet! Elder Matangi was on an exchange with Elder Wright from my MTC District. I was in Dyersburg with Elder Schut. He was feeling sick and we had to bunker down so he could heal up, but it was good regardless! Listened to a lot of Elder Holland. They had a CD with 46 of his talks on it. We had Dinner with their Branch President.

Good luck all of you! Remember to pray always!

Letter Home from Elder Bryen North - April 7, 2014

Dear Homefort,

Conference was fantastic as always! My favorite quote was "A grateful heart is the parent of all virtues." My favorite talk was by Marcos A. Aidukaitis. I loved his enthusiasm! Very exciting and fun.

We watched conference at the church and we had pizza before priesthood with the small handful of men in the ward and the next day Sister Lockett made some enchiladas. This week the most interesting thing that happened food wise was Elder Matangi made himself Teriyaki hotdogs in a skillet.

People seem to be widely confused as to what is so horrifying about summer here.
It's hot, sweaty, painfully hot, sweaty, fully of bugs and sweaty. I'm sure Jered and Coy have it worse, but regardless, Winter is much, much better.

Everyone share conference with your friends! It's a great chance to display the gospel and it's straight from the mouths of the prophets.
